Creating a Fresh Start from a Standalone Desktop

1. Navigate to the course you’ve set up—a demo course is shown below. Then, go to the Desktops tab, click the dropdown arrow, and select “Create from Standalone” to generate your Fresh Start.

   

2. Choose the “Standalone desktop” you previously worked with for the course environment (software, course content, quizzes, etc.)

3. During this process, you can adjust the memory, CPU, and expand the disk size if needed.  Click “Create desktop”.

   

4.  Your Fresh Start is now ready. Both trainers and participants can clone desktops from this template.
   
   The Fresh Start is a course desktop that enables simultaneous cloning for all users and the trainer. Anyone in the course can revert to the Fresh Start state when necessary.
   
   Through the ‘Cog’ menu, you’ll find many additional features, such as cloning your Fresh Start to a trainer, participant, or standalone machine, as well as cloning and resizing it as a standalone. You can also move the Fresh Start to a different server, create Snapshots, review Recordings, or configure a Remote Replica.
