Trainer Recordings
DaDesktop offers multiple methods for capturing desktop and course recordings. They fall into three categories: troubleshooting recordings, training room recordings, and trainer recordings.
Trainer recordings document the trainer's own DaDesktop machine. To start a session recording from the trainer machine, just follow these steps.
- Click on the three vertical dots to reveal a small dropdown menu, and from that menu pick 'Connect (with session recording)'.
-
This creates an audio/video capture of the trainer machine, but you won't be able to view it until after you close the virtual classroom—at that point the recording is finalized. Note: SuperAdmin users have an extra menu option that allows them to watch live recordings as they are being made.
- To access and edit your recordings, click the gear icon and select the Recordings menu.
Recordings
There are two ways to access trainer recordings of their machine.
- Recordings can be opened from the Recordings menu, as described above. You can play and delete them whenever you need. The double-wrench icon indicates 'Troubleshooting Recordings' – these are generated automatically for diagnostic use, not for presentation, and are available on demand.
2. Using the 'Recordings' tab within a course, you can view the trainer recordings, training room recordings, and troubleshooting recordings.
