OS Template Management
OS Template Naming Rules
Our naming standard relies solely on lowercase letters and dashes.
Sticking to this convention ensures the application can classify and organize templates accurately.
<os>
Avoid using a dash in the <os> section.
<key><number>
For instance:
centos8
debian12
win10
ubuntu2404
ubuntu2204
<template>
<os>-template-v<number>
For example:
debian12-template-v21
ubuntu2204-template-v17
kali-template-v2
<dd4w>
dd4w-tpl-lxc-<os>-v<number>
dd4w-tpl-kvm-<os>-v<number>
For example:
All names must begin with 'dd4w-'
Examples:
dd4w-tpl-kvm-win10-v5
dd4w-tpl-lxc-ubuntu2204-v2
Template Distribution
In this section, you can copy, delete, or compare all OS templates in your cloud. Keep in mind that transferring numerous templates may impact network performance. It's best to schedule copy operations outside of business hours.
Bulk OS Template Deletion
A recently added feature lets you delete templates from multiple servers in one go. What was once a tedious and slow process is now fast and straightforward.
- Simply pick a server that has the template you need and select 'Remove from .. ' (the 'Remove' option removes just one template at a time)
- A list appears showing only the servers that contain this particular template.
- Check the servers you want to delete the template from.
-
Click 'Submit' and confirm the action; the templates will then be removed.
