DaDesktop and the CPU architectures it supports (ARM and AMD64)
DaDesktop provides full support—backed by automated build testing—for these CPU architectures:
Intel and AMD x86 (AMD64)
AMD
- AMD zen 2 (EPYC 7002, Ryzen),
- AMD zen 3 (EPYC 7003, Ryzen)
- AMD zen 4 (EPYC 9004, Ryzen)
- AMD zen 5 (ES, QS)
We have customers still running zen 1 (EPYC 7001) as well.
Intel
- Xeon E3, Xeon E5, Xeon E7 v3 or newer (Haswell)
- Xeon Scalable
- i5, i7, i9 Haswell or newer
Xeon processors from the Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge generations (Xeon E3, E5, E7) appear to work perfectly, though they aren’t included in our automated tests.
ARM
- AWS Graviton 1, Graviton 2, Graviton 3 and Graviton 4
- Ampere® Altra® Q80-30 or newer
- Kunpeng 920 or newer
Most other models also function correctly (Apple Silicon in particular). If you’d like to test your hardware, please reach out to our technical support team.
Risc-V
It should work without issues, though we haven’t performed extensive testing in Germany.
