Adjusting Disk, CPU, and Memory
Trainers can adjust the original resource allocation for the Fresh-Start Desktop. This comes in handy when you realize the course needs extra CPU, memory, or storage to run additional programs or software.
To modify these settings, first ensure the Fresh-Start Desktop is stopped. Click the gear icon, then choose either “Stop” or “Force-Stop”.
After stopping the desktop, you can adjust its resource allocation. Select the gear icon, then go to advanced > Resize (ram, cpu, disk).
When you select that, a Resize form appears where you can redistribute the CPU, RAM, or storage your desktop needs. The form shows the maximum limit for each resource.
Keep in mind that these changes will influence the desktop’s cost; however, it’s best to allocate whatever is necessary to ensure the course runs smoothly.
