DaDesktop

GPU support

DaDesktop offers two options for GPU support:

  1. Physical GPU passthrough – this is only offered in some data centers Germany. Since it uses an actual graphics card, you get full hardware acceleration.
  2. GPU simulation through LLVM Pipe. This works seamlessly with any of our Linux distributions, like Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04. At the moment, however, it does not function on Windows 10.

If you’re unsure whether your chosen application needs a GPU (for instance, Blender does), you might encounter a message such as this:

"A graphics card and driver with support for OpenGL 3.3 or higher is required. Install the latest driver for your graphics card might resolve the issue"
