SSH Connectivity
For ease of use, it is frequently requested to have SSH access to DaDesktop machines, enabling course participants and trainers to connect to their desktops from their personal laptops or desktop computers. It's understandable that many prefer typing commands on their local terminal rather than inside a terminal on a remote desktop.
Although technically feasible, we do not allow SSH access in this context, as it would unnecessarily expose the DaDesktop course machines to significant security risks.
A drag-and-drop file transfer feature has been added, allowing files to be easily moved from your own laptop or desktop onto the DaDesktop machine. Some requests for full SSH access arose because file transfer wasn't available, but with this new functionality, using DaDesktop becomes even simpler.
It should be noted that full QEMU Spice Desktop support is now available on Windows and Linux OS templates, making it much easier than before to copy and paste commands from your local machine to the DaDesktop machine, even when using a Mac or with non-English character sets.
For DDOP - DaDesktop on Premise servers, SSH access can be granted if required.
